Happy New Year !!!!

Jan 09- Kat is past 75% of the way through to her Master Herbalist program & is currently in the actual MH section of her coursework.   Winter/early spring plans are to begin studies for Aromatherapy (essential oils) certification as soon as she wraps up the MH program.   Over this year she is hoping to also acquire certifications in homeopathy, reflexology, and to start by the year end on a Masters in Iridology.  Time will tell.  These are the plans anyhow...  Shes feel these are important  to be able to be well balanced to help others better.

Our products continue to gain more popularity with each passing month- Thank-you!

It appears we will be teaching a couple classes again at the NWODGA Goat Conference in Feb 2009, in Oregon City.  Tentatively 2 classes- one on Goat Herbalism,  one on Goat Slave Herbalism...  Thank-you for making last year's classes so popular that they asked for us back!

Update 2008....

See the article done on us in the September/October issue of the Dairy Goat Journal :).

Kat is back in school.....  to work on her Master Herbalist or MH (degree in Master of Herbology- the herbalist equivalent to an MD or DVM but of course is not recognized by the government).    Having a great passion for working with herbs,  as well as receiving the satisfaction of seeing how they enrich the lives of others and their stock has encouraged this plunge back into the world of textbooks and studies :O) .   This normally  is a 2 to 3 year intensive with a lot of hands on program, with a final week spent at the school...  She is planning to graduate (God willing) early August 2009 when finals are offered.  Summer 2008 finds her in the 3rd  of 4 levels of study, with her Family Herbalist and Nutritional Herbalist certifications earned.

We DO assist with tough conditions- autoimmunes, diabetes I and II, weight, heart problems, organ problems, candida, stroke, cancer, prenatal nutrition, downs syndrome, autism, mental problems, hormonal  and more...  literally everything....

We are often working on  more products for people and  for livestock :O).   Please ask if you don't see a product for your needs,  we do custom formulations or we may just be working on what you are looking for :O).

Note,  we can not make a diagnosis, but you can supply a diagnosis and we can work with that.

Orders in & paid for by 9am, PST, can usually be filled and shipped the same day (monday - friday)!   We do take phone calls, but please use the internet when you can.   We can take calls Monday through Friday 1 to 4pm Pacific Standard Time.  541-855-2561 .  If you don't hear from us in 24 hours on a weekday please assume that for some reason your message did not come through (happens mainly with cell phones).

Kat gave one of many seminars offered at the NWODGA conference in Oregon City, Oregon on Sat Feb 23rd.  The topic, of course,  Basic Goat Herbalism...

We routinely receive referrals from our veterinarian- clients that prefer to go herbal rather than conventional,  and clients whose health is  not responding to veterinarian medicine.  We also routinely receive referrals from our school,  since they focus on herbal education for people and we do people and animals :O).  We feel like we are being showered with blessings........

To see individual stories on products, please read under the individual products.   We have been blessed with some real neat feedback...

Welcome to our farm and website.  We moved to the beautiful Siskiyous of Southern Oregon in June of 2006 from the Cascade mountains in Central Washington.    Nearly as fast as we got here Kat began buying and stuffing herbs in the nearly feral ground- our farm had not been maintained for what we found to be ten years,  giving us a very nice no chemical fresh slate to work with in our long growing season area.

Working with herbs came naturally.    Kat was born into a family with a German mom and grandparents on both sides that love to garden,  so was exposed from a very early age to the joy and wonders of the outdoors and gardening including herbs.   As I grew up I thought it was just 'normal' to know how to use several herbs in the home in various forms.   My grandmother used herbs daily- having been a nurse in Germany in the days when your pharmacoepia was herbs (incidentally Germany still is a world leader in herb usage for health). So over time I learned several things sorta by observation...  Also over the years, we have invested in several quality people and livestock herbals,  as well as working with and making products for home & farm use - using the same products interchangeably between us, our poultry, our pets, and our livestock.   It was natural for the herbal use to float into livestock usage...

Though not certified organic,   my roots taught me to farm that way and thus I still do,  believing that my soils, and plants are healthier by doing so.  We use our own farm raised natural plants where possible for our salves, butters, tinctures, infused oils, etc.   Herbs that we must bring in we have carefully selected sources of MEDICINAL quality herbs, not the cheaper food grade herbs that are commonly used by many.  There are NO fillers in our products.  100% the real thing.

We have found that we have a very very high repeat rate of purchase by our customers (above 90%), and we feel that this is the best testimony we could ever receive on these products.

We trust you will enjoy your virtual visit!

Blessings,   Jerry & Kat

Each product offered has been field tested on our farm or test farm/s first. That is how these products came into existence- our use here,  then the idea that maybe we ought to offer these for others since we and friends liked them so well...  You will find each person that works herbs will use differing herbs in their products.  This is due to each one's differing experience and access with different plants.   There are many that will work well in our personal experience.

Please note that when we offer uses-  they are based on what we do with the products here on our own place and/or on traditional uses.   Per the FDA,  which does not test or study herbal plants or products,  we can not make and do not make any medical claims.   We are allowed to tell you how we use them with our stock or home use,  and what traditionally things are/have been used for.  We are not responsible for misuse of any products, and wisdom dictates not leaving them where children can have access to them.  Some items,  especially the essential oils,  are very potent and must be kept away from children.  Should you have questions please feel free to email us.  Your order from this website implies that you will be taking all responsibility for correct use of any and all herbal products listed on this website.    These products do not replace your provision of proper clean feed, water, adequate shelter and management of your creatures, but will work alongside a good management program.  They also do not replace your working alongside a veterinarian or other medicial professional.    Having said all of that,  we trust you will enjoy these products, as many have.
