"Calico is doing AWESOME!!!!!
I am sooo excited about this!!!
Thanks a million"
R.S. in Ohio  about 90 days preceeding this note,  this breeder contacted us for help healing a previously unhealable/undiagnosable skin irritation/chapping on a goat's face that they were hoping to show.  Antibiotics had been used a lot with only temporary/partial success.   This goat is on the M Mune,  Fresh Start, and Wounderful Salve...

Methods of Administration:  Animals:  Products can be given several ways.    Easiest is top dressing grain with the product.   Many animals will simply eat it that way.    Even my dairy goats will,  though one or two a year may pick at it a few days before they decide it's ok.    For the finicky you can make medicine balls.   Take your measure of herb,  mix it with enough molasses or honey or peanut butter to stick it together in a ball.  Wow,  now you have a pet treat that is good for them :O).   Offer it to them as you would any scrumptions treat.   For the yet wary, you will want to pop it in their mouth.  Carnivores may like it mixed in wet food, gravies, egg, pate, or ground meats.    You can also make a drench if you find drenching is the only way you can get it down.   See the GoaTeas page for directions on drenches.   The dosage used here is figured at the rate of 1/2 Tablespoon per 150#'s of animal.  Interesting that that is the same "adult' rate used for humans.     Adjust your herbs up or down if you like,  we keep them fairly steady here.  The herbs we use are medicinal grade quality which is higher than food grade quality.

For people,  we offer the herbal mix products in the loose 'wholesale' form.   You can either drink them in juice or capsule them.   We have capsulers/tampers and capsules available for sale for those that would like to capsule them 50 at a time, instead of one at a time by hand.    For those that absolutely must have them precapsuled, contact us, and I'll give you a website to order from and tell you which products to get,  just know that it will be quite a bit more expensive to get them that way.  You'll get 90 to 100 precapsuled verses being able to make a few hundred from the bulk herbal mixes.

A word about Herb Holidays...   When one is using an herb or herbs daily (tea counts too)  it is always advised that one take a one day break out of every 7 in a row (like an herb 'sabbath').  This gives the body time to rebalance itself and for you to observe if it is time to adjust herb amounts or what you are giving to your stock so that you may get best benefit from your products. The herbs are also more effective when used in this manner.  This does not apply to items given weekly or once in awhile- the days they don't have it count as your herb holidays....  (ie DWorm).

What about herby tasting goat/cow milk?  The general rule of thumb is to give your herbs at least 4 hours before milking time to avoid herb tainted milk.   At the farm we give herbs at milking time,  which allows roughly 12 hours before the next milking,  which would be the milk they would affect.    We have yet to have any "herby" tasting milk with this method.

How about Milk WIthholding times?  For our products there are no milk withholding times neccessary.  No tossed milk,  no lost sales  (of course unless a doe/cow is ill or has mastitis, then you need to consider not using that milk for human/critter consumption).   In all actuality, the herbs circulating thru her body is going to be turned into nutrients that will show up in her milk to benefit the one that consumes it.  a win/win situation here :O).

Can I use the microwave to heat up teas or water for teas?   The answer is absolutely NOT!   Microwaves do emit radiation.   Radiation kills life and changes cell structure.  It can render some nutrients into carcinogenic substances.
